Hayes Drive, Three Mile Cross, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 1GB Seller’s comments…”I bought my flat in Hayes Drive in 2020 as a first time buyer after many years of house sharing, it was my first time living alone and having my own space to call home with the added security of a carport to keep my car safe.As I predominantly work from home, I love that the living area is big enough for my desk and chair whilst also being able to have my huge sofa for when my friends visit for movie and game nights. The bedroom is also really big, I have a king size bed with an oversized decorative frame and there's still room for my double wardrobe plus multiple chests of drawers in there, all of my friends are so envious of the space I have which probably explains why they always want me to host get togethers! There is a smart thermostat fitted so you can control the heating and check both the temperature and humidity from your phone wherever you are, you can even pre-heat the flat at a certain time to make sure it's warm for when you get home. I also had a Monarch water softener fitted when I moved in, all of the water runs through it so you get softened water at the boiler, sinks, bath and shower as well as the dishwasher and washing machine which means practically no limescale, the bath and sinks are easier to clean and you need less laundry detergent, soap and shampoo too which saves so much money! There is a separate filtered drinking water tap at the sink which bypasses the water softener. The transport links are also really great, the M4 is right there and it's less than a 30 minute drive into London or a 25 minute train journey from Reading train station to London which is super easy to get to by car or bus which stops less than a 5 minute walk away and buses run late into the evening too. You can also travel to Cornwall, Wales and the North from Reading station, it's so convenient.I have enjoyed some of the happiest years of my life here, the neighbours on the estate are all lovely and it's so quiet and peaceful, I love to go for a walk across the fields or for a drink at one of the local pubs and the bakery just up the road towards Spencers Wood makes the most amazing bread! However it is time to move on and I have set my sights on a larger home further North, I am genuinely so sad to leave because I absolutely adore this flat and all of the space and comfort it's brought me but I know it's time for it to give someone else that warm feeling when they walk through the front door and into 'home'.”
